A McGarrell Reilly development, main contractor Fajon Construction. Barnwell Point, Hansfield is a Cost rental apartment development comprising 20 studios, 50 one-bed apartments, 164 two-bed apartments, 12 two-bed duplexes, and one three-bed apartment.
Arc Engineering were the successful tenderer for 227 supported off site manufactured balconies on this project. The contract included design, supply and fit HD galvanised and finish coated balcony base and support columns in line with architects concept plan. Base secured to building with HD galvanised brackets. The balustrading comprised both vertical bar and toughened glass infill panels clamped into continuous channels at top base of balustrade, all fixed back to top of balcony base. Composite decking fixed to balcony base with free draining (no soffits on balconies. In addition to supported balconies the scope of work included tower balconies, stone clad (by others). All components of this project were off-site manufactured in our quality controlled environment and craned into position on site, minimising work related time and weather related onsite delays.
