Arc Engineering were the successful tenderer for the design, supply and on-site installation of 180 offsite manufactured cantilevered balconies and 3 tower balconies..

Located on the site of the former Stillorgan Leisureplex, the development comprises 232 apartments, two retail units, and four restaurant/café units. The buildings range in height from four to eight storeys, all over a 6,371m² double basement.

Cantilevered / Glide-On Balconies were one of the offsite manufactured (MMC) innovations being implemented throughout the development which also included a precast concrete twin wall frame, cast-in electrical services in precast walls, an exhaust air heat pump system and glide-on balconies, along with pre-assembled bathroom pods.

These off-site construction methods allow for greater efficiencies, increased programme predictability and a faster pace of construction, as construction activities can overlap where work can commence off-site before the site is ready for the finished product.

Tenants’ amenities include both communal and private open spaces including courtyards, terraces and balconies as well as a resident’s lounge area, communal kitchen and dining, a co-working space, cinema, gym, and concierge service.
